Overview

My wife and I booked a last minute holiday to Morroco spending a week in Marrakech at the Tui Blue Medina Gardens hotel. The hotel is an all inclusive with brilliant food options and is very well maintained. The rooms are modern but still have the Moroccan style.

We was in Marrakech in July so every day was around 40 degrees. Far to hot for us to sit around and sun bathe so we decided to spend our holiday doing activities which I will outline in the itinerary.

As a whole for us Marrakech was a wonderful holiday!

Positives
- Lovely hotel which was well looked after and clean
- Good evening entertainment in the hotel - dances, singers, fire dances
- The hotel put on activities for guests during the day - waterpolo, table tennis, water volleyball
- Marakesh is very pretty with lots of sites to see with lots of culture
- Excursions were easy to book through the hotel
- Dune buggy experience was amazing, pick up and drop off from hotel was also included in the price.

Drawbacks
- The weather in June is 40 degrees, so is extremely hot.
- The locals are friendly however can also be/ feel very intimidating in the market, especially to women. The market streets are very narrow so can feel claustrophobic
- Lots of flys in the evening
- Waterfall was very busy full of both locals and tourists. The locals used donkeys to get down to the paths to the waterfall.

Itinerary
- Day 1 - Early flight from Gatwick to Marrakesh. Transfer from the airport to the hotel was included in our booking.
- Day 2 - we spent the morning exploring around our hotel and visiting the market. We then both had a massage and spent the afternoon in the spa.
- Day 3 - we booked an excursion to visit a water fall and cave. The excursion was for a full day however this was due to the waterfall being a 3 hour drive away from our hotel. The waterfall was lovely however was very busy.
- Day 4 - we booked a dune buggy tour experience. We drove around the desert and had Moroccan tea in an original mud hut
- Day 5 - We had a relaxing day in the hotel? Playing tennis and doing an escape room.
- Day 6 - Jardin Marjorelle - we walked from our hotel the the picturesque Jardin Marjorelle. The gardens are owned by Yves Saint Laurent. The walk took about 30 minutes
- Day 7 - flight home to Gatwick
All transferred were included
